The NCC (National Cadet Corps) unit at CAHSS Ayakkad was established in 1958, marking the beginning of a legacy of discipline, unity, and service. The first NCC officer of the school was T. NCC Motto: Unity and Discipline

Definition: NCC is a youth development movement. It provides opportunities to the youth of the country for their all-round development with a sense of duty, commitment, dedication, discipline and moral values so that they become responsible citizens.

Aim of NCC

To develop character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service among the youth of the country.
To create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership in all walks of life and always be available for the service of the nation.
To provide a sustainable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the Armed Forces.

NCC at CAHSS Ayakkad:

Every year, 50 cadets from Class 8 are selected to join the NCC program, which spans two years. A full batch consists of 100 cadets. Cadets undergo 40 parades during the academic year and also participate in the Combined Annual Training Camp.

Benefits of NCC:

Grace marks in the SSLC examination.
Special seats in the Armed Forces for NCC cadets.
Bonus marks for Army soldier recruitment.
Reservation in various Government jobs, especially in State Police, Central Police, and Paramilitary Forces.
Academic incentives including weightage marks in PSC examinations.

Activities by NCC Cadets:

Visiting orphanages and old age homes, providing essential supplies.
Tree plantation drives during Environment Day.
Anti-drug campaigns through rallies and flash mobs.
School area clean-ups.
Celebration of all patriotic events with cultural and educational programs.
Installation of electricity in homes of the needy.
Fundraising for various charitable causes.
Traffic control assistance provided to local police.

Achievements of Our Cadets:

Numerous cadets have secured positions in the Armed Forces.
The program has transformed the attitude and discipline of students.
NCC instills a sense of unity, discipline, and secularism.
Three cadets are selected annually to represent the school at the National Level Camp.
